Biography
Adam Hawley, currently a resident of Los Angeles, started his music career in the Portland Metro Area of Oregon
before moving to Southern California in 2002. In addition to holding the guitar chair for the 11-time Grammy Awarding winning group The Manhattan Transfer since 2008, he has appeared in a myriad of settings with such artists as Monica, Jessy J, Kenny Latimore, Ricky Lawson, War, John Hendrix, The New York Voices, Marc Antoine, Regina Carter, Pat Metheny, members of the world famous Escovedo family of percussionists, Gospel singer Onitsha, Rap artist Styles P, Regina King, and toured with Spirit Productions "Solid Gold Motown" show throughout the world to mention just a few.
He has performed at such prestigious venues
as the Hollywood Bowl, Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, CBS Sunday Morning Show, Blue Note in Tokyo, New York, and Milan, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, House of Blues in Hollywood,
Ronnie Scotts in London, Lincoln Center in New York, Jakarta Jazz Festival in Indonesia, Disney Hall in Los Angeles, Playboy Jazz Festival among many others.
He is also music director at New Beginning Christian Fellowship Church in Azusa, CA and taught at the
University of Southern California as a part of his duties in fulfilling graduate studies. He graduated in December of 2010 with a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Studio/Jazz Guitar.
